Director - Partnership Taxation
Cindy Buie provides tax consulting and compliance services for developers, contractors, investors, owner/operators, management companies and mortgage lenders in the real estate industry. She consults on the tax aspects of real estate operations and entity transactions including tax-deferred transactions; partnership reorganizations, formations, mergers and liquidations; and complex partnership allocation issues. Cindy also has extensive experience in the international tax area concentrating on transactions involving foreign persons owning real property and doing business in the United States.
Cindy is a native of the Atlanta area and holds a Masters of Accounting in Taxation from Kennesaw State University. Prior to joining AGH, Cindy was the Real Estate Tax Manager for a prominent real estate investment company whose portfolios contain 17 million square feet totaling over $6 billion of assets employing in excess of $2.7 billion in equity from over 50,000 foreign investors.
Cindy is the Chair for the 2007 and 2008 Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants Real Estate Conference. She is also serving as Chair of the 2007 and 2008 Enterprise Network Real Estate practice group. She is a 2002 alumnus of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants Leadership Academy and served two-years as Secretary of the North Atlanta Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
