Helping international manufacturers tap the U.S. market

AGH recently assisted an Asian-owned manufacturer in establishing U.S. operations. We helped incorporate the U.S. business entity working closely with accountants in Asia to make sure the U.S. company was structured properly to meet the larger company’s goals. We also went beyond the traditional accounting role to help the company find a U.S. distributor.

A well-researched credit

One of our manufacturing clients invested $200,000 in research and development. As soon as AGH discovered this, we counseled them on the proper documentation and reporting requirements to make sure that the manufacturer received a research and development tax credit that they hadn’t banked on.

Real-time reporting through new technology

A manufacturing client called on AGH to get the most out of its new accounting software. The trouble was, even after making a sizable investment in the new technology, this Georgia manufacturer didn't know how to fit the technology to the company's specific needs. Without this knowledge, bookkeepers entered in cash disbursements and other data manually—making real-time cash flow a mystery. AGH improved the situation right away, working with the software company to give the client exactly what it needed from the new technology. The bottom line: All financial reporting is now automated and in real-time, minimizing errors and enabling the manufacturer to make timely decisions across the entire production process—from raw materials to work-in-process to finished goods.
